This digital finishing component is ideal for printers and publishers who print on a wide variety of applications, including mass-produced pocketbooks, educational, legal, financial and most notably the “The Book of One”. The Magnum FlexBook 1S supports many of the print engine devices on the market today, and it can be installed either inline or nearline. You can easily configure the FlexBook 1S to your specific application and environmental requirements.
Optimal Productivity
Magnum digital finishing equipment easily keeps pace with the rated speed of your high-speed Inkjet Web Press. Fold, cut, glue and stack signatures at astounding speeds up to 833fpm (254m/min). The FlexBook 1S has been designed in such a way that change-over from one size to another, can take place automatically using a touchscreen interface, with all setup adjustments actuated by a multitude of computer-controlled servo motors, to maximize press uptime. Take advantage of real-time proofing, which occurs during the print stream and doesn’t disrupt production. Produce neatly squared book blocks, ready-to-go to inline or offline on existing binding equipment.
Tremendous Flexibility
The Magnum FlexBook 1S offers outstanding flexibility. Print A6 to oversized A4 signatures that enable a wide range of different applications. The use of coated and uncoated media weighing 40gsm to 135gsm, make book blocks from 4mm to 70mm thick. Accommodate variable content and setting changes quickly and easily. Choose from a variety of different options including a Silicone Applicator, Glue System, and a book block Inspection System, depending on your needs. The FlexBook 1S can also be transformed from Book application to high-speed Commercial Solution, capable of handling cut-sheets up to A3, B3 size for insert/onsert as well as off-line saddle-stitch and sewn applications.
